TPA’s Oxford office along with DP9 Ltd, Spratley & Partners and Workman have supported Columbia Threadneedle to obtain planning permission in Hayes for the conversion an office building to a residential scheme. Members of the London Borough of Hillingdon’s Major Application Committee resolved to grant planning permission on Wednesday 23 May 2018.
The proposals will convert the office building, which comprises 5,350m2 of office space spread over seven floors, to provide 157 residential flats. As part of the scheme a total of 170 cycle parking spaces and 135 car parking spaces will be provided for future residents.
As well as ensuring access to the site was suitable for all forms of vehicles, we completed a detailed analysis of travel demand and traffic movements, demonstrating that the proposals would provide a net benefit to the local highway network. The implementation of a Travel Plan and financial contributions were agreed for works to improve the safety and convenience with which occupiers of the site can walk or cycle to Hayes and Harlington Station Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) station.
