We were commissioned by Hollis Global Limited on behalf of Redwood (Light Industrial) Propco S.a.r.l (Logicor) to support a development at Molesey Industrial Estate in West Molesey, comprising two areas within the north of the Estate with a gross floor area of 7,354m2 to be redeveloped into industrial, commercial and warehouse uses with an increase in floor to 8,888m2

APPROACH

A Scoping Note was prepared in the initial phase of the project, following which we held a pre-application meeting with Surrey County Council to devise an agreeable transport strategy.

To support the application, a Transport Statement and Travel Plan were produced, demonstrating the site would not generate an adverse transport impact and also proposing a host of transport measures to support sustainable travel to and from the site.

We were also able to address Surrey County Council’s initial concerns regarding the provision of sustainable travel modes whilst mitigating the client’s commitment to providing a disproportionate number of improvements to the local transport infrastructure in relation to the size of the development.

OUTCOME

Following the submission of the planning application, it was subsequently approved at a planning committee in February 2024.

Flowing the grant of planning consent, we have been further instructed to aid in the discharge of planning conditions such as the production of a Travel Plan.
