PROJECT

We were instructed by Legoland Resort Windsor in relation to the proposed re-development of Adventure Land to provide a new attraction including the erection of new buildings, ride and play equipment, hard and soft landscaping and associated infrastructure. This application formed part of the Legoland Resort Windsor’s ten year plan.

APPROACH

We worked with the project team to develop a layout, which responded to the needs of the Client and fit within the parameters set out in the hybrid planning application for the ten year plan. We built upon the evidence base developed as part of the Haunted House Planning appeal and the subsequent hybrid application to demonstrate that the additional attraction would not result in a significant increase in additional trips to the site.

OUTCOME

The Transport Statement concluded that the development proposals would fall within the floor area permitted as part of the hybrid application for the ten year plan. A positive consultation response was received from the Local Highway Authority and planning permission was granted, subject to conditions.
