We were instructed by Open Door, a subsidiary of Barnet Homes, and Hill Residential Limited in relation to a proposed residential development on Hermitage Lane in the London Borough of Barnet.
Initially we undertook a scoping exercise with the Council to ascertain the extent of information required to support a planning application. This included a pre-application meeting with the highways to discuss the low parking vision for the site.
We worked together with the wider team to prepare a site layout which balanced the requirements of our Clients and the planning authority. This include the introduction of two inset car club spaces on Hermitage Lane to support the low parked vision for the site. Additionally we prepared a Framework Travel Plan which aimed to reduce the quantity of trips undertaken by residents in private cars.
We responded to post submission comments from the Highway Authority and successfully defended the low parking provision proposed. The application was subsequently granted planning permission.
