We were commissioned by the London Borough of Brent to provide transport advice in relation to a proposed expansion of Byron Court Primary School located at Spencer Road, Wembley, London NW10 8NG.

A separate planning application was also supported and were in connection to proposed additional residential and care home development on temporary school site.

APPROACH

We developed a good working relationship with the local highway officer in order to agree a precise scope and methodology for the Transport Strategy. An extensive series of public consultation events were undertaken in order to understand and address concerns of local residents.

Part of the wider solutions involve further Travel Plan conditions whilst proposing to introduce staggered starting times and finishing times, park and stride, and walking buses.

OUTCOME

The proposals were approved at committee and construction has been completed.
