We were appointed by Ed Ware Homes to support a planning application for a residential development in Langford, North Somerset. The development proposed 41 new homes.

APPROACH

We initially provided feasibility advice on access opportunities of a proposed new residential development to the south of Bristol Road, Langford. Following this, a planning application was prepared and submitted in 2017. We prepared supporting documentation, including a Transport Assessment and access drawings. The Transport Assessment demonstrated that development could be accommodated safely on the local transport network.

Following submission of the planning application, we responded to comments from the Highway Authority. Subsequently, officers raised no objection to the development.

OUTCOME

The scheme was granted planning permission in 2018. We represented the applicant at the Planning Committee meeting. The site was subsequently sold to a national house builder and a reserved matters application has now also received approval.
